Drogheda Fringe Festival
2011
Duke Special, Live in the Big Top!
Fringe 2011 offers you a unique opportunity to see this dynamic and musically ambitious artist under canvas in Fossett's Big Top by the banks
of our own magical river, the Boyne. Duke Special is a performer who harks back to a pre-rock 'n' roll era, with dashes of Gershwin and orchestral swing, all
tinged with a Northern Irish lilt and poetic lyrics which could feature in a modern-day fairytale. He manages to perfectly balance the old and the
new - boasting the appeal of a three-minute pop song with the incessant charm of an old school music hall.
